Colnago Spiderman Bike

Welcome to Roadbikes.net!
(don't forget to check out our brotha site, www.Mountainbikes.net as well)

As a conniesieur of all things carbon, you'll find this site will include lots of posts on carbon fiber bicycles and parts moving forward. And to get things rolling in the right direction . . .

Colnago's have always been among my favorite road bike mfgs. Partly due to the Italian Road bike legacy and mystique and also because of the beautiful paint jobs these bikes sport. I personally own a C40HP and most will agree this is among the best rated carbon road bikes since their debut in 1996. So, when the new C50HP was unveiled last year, naturally Colnago fans everywhere rejoiced . . . something new to drool about!

But there's plenty of cool pictures of these bikes bikes on the web already and you become numb to the same old catalog pictures of stock C50HP's pretty quick. So when I wandered into the bike shop the other day, this beauty owned by a fellow rider "Lightning Larry", caught my eye. Larry is fast on the bike, but has an even faster draw for his Visa card! Here's Larry's latest creation with the help of SpokesBikes.com.

What makes this one special (besided the fact it's a Colnago) is the custom painted Cinelli Ram bar and Colnago cranks to match the frame. Voila - Spiderman on wheels. Who needs the BatMobile when you can own one of these?!

Speaking of a spiderman motif, apparently someone who entered the Trek Project One design contest had the same idea. Check out one of the winning designs (second from the bottom).
